Sports Medicine
Sports medicine is a diverse medical speciality focusing on those people that have suffered and injury during sport, exercise, work or as a part of every day life. Where our sports doctors are involved in elite sport, most of the patients seen at Bounce are normal people just wanting to achieve their personal sporting goals, or get active again.
Not surprisingly, sports doctors have a detailed knowledge and love of sport and bring this to every consultation. This knowledge of sport is what sets them apart from normal doctors, as they will endeavour to tie you treatment needs in with the demands of your sport or activity. This includes taking into account major competitions or games, training demands, maintaining fitness while injured, and returning to play as soon as possible with no recurrence of you injury.
Many of the doctors at Bounce see their role in the setting or performance enhancement. Put simply, the athlete with the sore ankle wont run as fast as the player with no pain. So let us fix your ankle and we will help you hit harder, jump higher, and run faster.
Our sports medicine doctors are either sports physicians, registrars or sports doctors.
