Brendan Duncan
Brendan recently completed his Masters of Sports
Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland in St. Lucia and commenced
working at Bounce Rowville in December 2010. He studied his Bachelor of
Physiotherapy at La Trobe University and graduated in 2005. Prior to this he
worked as an Allied Health Assistant in Brimbank and worked as a Fitness
Instructor while studying Health Sciences at La Trobe.
Brendan has expertise in both general and sports
physiotherapy covering a range of sporting pursuits and a keen interest in
accurate diagnosis and accelerated rehab for many different conditions.
Brendan was a member of the Western Jets team in the inaugural
TAC Cup season in 1992 before being drafted to Essendon in 1993. He went on to
play in the VFL with Werribee, Williamstown and Coburg before stints in the
Western and Essendon District Football Leagues. He was Assistant Coach at
Melbourne University in the VAFA in 2007 and has worked as Team Physio for
numerous Vic Country Representative sides as well as being Head Trainer for the
Queensland Scorpians U16 & U18 Representative Teams at the 2010 NAB
National Carnivals. Brendan is currently working as Team Physio for
Williamstown Football Club in the VFL and Mulgrave Football Club in the Eastern
District Football League.
Brendan also works with the Melbourne Aces in the newly
revamped National Baseball League and has enjoyed stints working in the world
game with FFV and NTC development squads, Altona Magic in the VPL, A-League referees and Melbourne
Victory Womens Team.
Brendan enjoys working with people from all walks of life from young to old, general public to elite athletes,
special populations and Workcover and TAC clients. He takes pride in delivering
optimal outcomes for patients and equipping people with the skills to
self-manage their conditions as much as possible.
